On May 16, 2024, Malayagam Canada members participated in the Tamil State of the Union conference, held at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. This event was coordinated by the Tamil Americans United Political Action Committee.
The Tamil State of the Union featured several speeches by US Members of Congress and Tamil advocacy organizations.
Outlining the inherent rights of the Tamil people in international law, Malayagam Canada’s legal advisor also highlighted historical commonalities between Malaiyaham and the North-East.
